The site is set on the banks of the River Vyrnwy and next to the famous and historic Melverley Church. The site is overlooking the magnificent borderlands countryside across the Severn/Vyrnwy flood plains towards the distant Welsh Mountains.

On site there are toilets, washbasins (H&C) and free electric showers, Electric hook-ups (16amp) are available. We have a recycling centre for bottles,cans and newspapers.
We have a wahing up room with 2 double sinks and a free electric fridge/freezer for use of campers. A book exchange is also available on site.
Walking & Cycling
If you enjoy walking you can take advantage of an abundance of local footpaths. The Severn Way long distance footpath passes through the site. Dogs are welcome provided that you respect the rules of the site and the surrounding countryside.
The site is on route 81 of the National Cycle Route and is surrounded by stunning countryside in which to cycle through.
Canoeing & kayaking
The site is situated on the River Vyrnwy and has a launch area. Take a paddle on the river whilst enjoying the stunning surroundings.
A garage inlcuding a small supermarket and post office is just 3 miles away.
The Old Hand & Diamond restaurant and pub is just 1 mile from the site and offer a collection and delivery minibus. Within a 2 mile radius there is a varied choice of licensed premises.
Church House is equidistant from the historic market towns of Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Welshpool.
