Location

The site is set on the banks of the River Vyrnwy, and next to the famous and historic Melverley Church, overlooking the magnificent borderlands countryside across the Severn/Vyrnwy flood plains towards the distant Welsh mountains.

Facilities

On site there are toilets, washbasins (h & c) and a shower. Electric hook-ups (16 amp) are available. We have a recycling centre for bottles, cans and newspapers. 

If you enjoy walking you can take advantage of an abundance of local footpaths. 

The Severn Way long-distance footpath passes the site. Dogs are welcome provided that you respect the rules of the site, and the surrounding countryside. 

If fishing is your pastime, you need travel no further as the River Vyrnwy runs alongside.

The famous and historic Melverley Church is open daily and services are held regularly on Sundays.

Small shops which include an off-licence and a post office are about 3 miles away.

The Old Hand And Diamond is 1 mile from the site and provide a collection and delivery minibus and within a 2 mile radius there is a varied choice of licensed premises.
